1988 Fish and Ski

I have found a 1988 fish and ski with a 125HP force motor. Anyone have any comments on this type of boat. What to look out for? If you have one is it a good ski/fishing boat?

The Force motor is no longer made. Discount the boat price because of that.

I don't know anything about the fish 'n ski boats and the way they were built at the factory. Hopefully better than the bowriders of that era.

Do the usual checks for bad transom, stringers, gouges in the gelcoat, take the boat on a lake test, run a compression check.

I have an 87 18 1/2 ft ,got it at the end of the summer last yr .Had it out a few times enjoyed it.Alot of people commented on it ,I'm a newbie so as a first boat ,I'm using it as a learning experience .There's a guy on here t lopez (yfz450guy@q.com)has one and redid it . It looks quite nice .If you want to email him ,Im sure he would show you some pics .and maybe give you some info .I do agree on the checks but you have to expect it for a 22 yr old boat and parts are still available for the motor.
