Update... after a wait for the recoil assembly to finally arrive I put in on today and indeed the one way clutch bearings are working so I prepared to try and finally fire it up. Had good spark after cleaning and setting points and it was kicking off with premix in the plug holes but could not get gas into the carb cause the inlet needle was stuck. You would have thought I would have cleaned the carb in all this time I was waiting for the recoil .....duh. So I pulled the carb and cleaned it good and put it back together and Bang....she fired right up.
Was running a little off so I adjusted the idle screw and the the thottle idle stop and it is now running/shifting/pumping as it should.
This will be the last post in this thread and thanks for listening and all the suggestions.
