1988 Honda 8hp four stroke

[LW BUSCH]

Hey,, Just purchased a cream puff with very low hours but can find nothing on the history of this motor. One owner and clean and runs..ANY HELP??

The most finicky carburetor on the planet.

They have microscopic jets. You can't clean them. Replace only. Read $$$.

By far, the most HIGH maintenance engine I've ever owned in 40 years of boating.

I see this is an old thread, but needed to comment. The post prior to this was only true for him. The fact is these jets are easily cleaned.
Air pressure and Hoppes #9 gun solvent and you've got a winning combination.
I own the same engine and love it. Although I have an exhaust issue today.
