So after almost a year and a half of procrastination, I'm full speed on a stringer replacement on the family boat. I've reached the point where i could use some advice. I have the engine out and am ready to tear out the decking and engine mounts. I've taken measurements of where the engine mounts are located, but feel like there should be an easier was, anyone have any advice on this. I have an OMC sterndrive. My other snafu is I sawed a whole in the side of the hull while cutting away the decking on the boat "what an idiot I am" any advice on repairing this. I'm going to get some pictures up here in a few.

fixing the hull isn't hard since you will have inside exposed , pics will help , dump omc and look for a mercruiser or volvo replacement since omc are getting harder to find parts for and stay away from yamaha stern drives

The cut is about 10 inches long and not on a flat surface

As much as I would love to through a small block in her, not in the budget. Engine has less than 50 hours her and the stern drive is solid. Shes been in the family a long time.

I got some more teardown done last night. I'm starting to acquire supplies for the build. Any opinions on what weight of CSM I should use for wrapping the stringers?

1.5 oz and 1708 biaxle cloth is the recommended approach. In the Teachings of the Master Woodenglass. His signature has recommended layups.
