This is my last chance!! I almost got her running right, but.... The spark on cyl #1 in sporatic at idle, then loses spark at 2000 rpm, then regains spark at 3500 rpms and sparks fine at WOT. SO the motor WAS running great at WOT but running terrible at idle and intermediate. I tried putting on old ppack and got worse results. It is ONLY cyl 1 with this trouble. All other cylinders fire perfect. I tried swapping coils and it DID NOT FOLLOW. I am 100% sure it is not the coil. I just bought a DVA peak reading meter and ready to do some test. I am leaning toward ppack but maybe timer base. All I know is the check for over 150v at orange wire coming to coil while it is connected. I've been to CDI troubleshoot website and I will try my best but I have no mechanical skills other than self taught. IS there any easy way to diagnose this problem, or has anyone had similar issues. Thanks!!

Have you tested the plug lead from the coil to the plug?
