While at full throttle boat will surge forward then idols back by itself. However if you hold the choke in, It runs perfect. pumping the bulb does nothing for oil or fuel. What do I do where do I start?

Since pumping the primer bulb doesn't help, I would check the high speed orifices in the carbs and see if any of them are plugged or restricted.

Daviet are those orifices replaced when rebuilding a carb? I Think I may just bite the bullet and rebuild.

Well a carb rebuild has fixed this issue. after some trial and tribulation with my very first carb rebuild ever it seems to be running like a top and performed as well as could be expected. Thank you for all your help!

As you found once you learn a little about that motor and the confidence level rises it is so easy to work on. I had a prob that I had to pull heads off to fix. Had no clue but w the help of my buds on it turned into a no brainer.
Glad you got it fixed
A little seafoam every now and then has helped keep my carbs clean and running great for 2 1/2 years now
