Which thread would you like any answers posted to? You've got two of them on here.

Re: 1988 Johnson 90hp Dies WOT

I had the same problem on my 88hp Johnson, just last week. I eventually discovered a fuel leak from the gas tank to the fuel pick up in the deck. I ended up changing all the fuel lines, a new anti siphon vavle on the tank and a new fuel pump. I hope this helps.

What pump did you replace with ???
Does it have enough output for it's needs at WOT ???
Have you checked the output ???
Any air intrusion on the connections and fittings ???

I replaced the VRO with fuel pump Evinrude/Johnson part # 0438556
It ran great for over 5 trips to Monterey Bay then this last trip ran great at 3-5mph in harbor once out of the harbor WOT for 1-5 minutes then started bogging down and then dies.

removed fuel line after fuel pump and did a small crank, fuel shot straigt out of fuel pump.

Still dont know why starboard plugs are dry and port are wet?

If starboard plugs are dry it sounds like a restriction between the pump and the cylinders. If there is restricted fuel getting there then there is also restricted lubrication. Not a good idea to keep using the motor till that issue is sorted out. I would be re-visiting the carbs to begin with.
