SO no one bought my boat after a year at the boatyard, so I decided to go pick it up and try to get her running again. I'm pretty sure I had it getting clean fuel, perfect compression, just bad ignition. I think it there was no fire at cylinder 3 and that resulted in loss of power. I changed the stator, ppack, timer base, and coils with no luck. I have a peak reading voltmeter and I'm ready to go back at it again. Does anyone have any suggestions on a way to get a logical good diagnosis?? I think it is either a faulty ppack or timer base. But tired of throwing parts. Thanks.

wow you have spent a lot of $$$ guessing. If your volt meter will do DVA then you will not need the adapter in myn sig below, but the free troubleshooting guide will walk you through the process. It is really easy once you've done it once or twice. just click the hot link in my sig below and go to your motor.
