My engine does not charge the battery when running. i was told that it could be a reset button that needs reset. Is there one on this engine and where? If it is the rectifier, how hard is it to replace and how much does it cost? could i do it myself? Thanks

Don't know of any reset button, but the rectifier is pretty cheap for that model. Odds are it's shot...Very easy to replace....

Rectifier

BTW-This one says for 1989-1992 but it is the same for your year...
