1988 King cobra 350

How can I determine, which model boat do I have?? MED, MEF, RFG ?? All these codes?? I have a full service manual for a 1988 King cobra but it sais MED and MEF models. How do I find out which model do I have. All the stuff in the manual looks just like the stuff on my boat, but I am not sure if this is the right manual or not. Thanx again.

The number is supposed to be on the drive, or was at one time. Mine isn't there anymore.

The MED, MEF are actually the last 3 digits of the engine model number , for the 350 King Cobra it should be on the plate on the thermostat housing, in this MED, MEF indicates a 1989 model engine/drive.

To Whom It May Concern:

My dad and I have found an old OMC Charger that has is going to be a great refurbishing project. Hull and motor seem to be in good shape. I am having difficulty with finding, for lack of better words, "canopy, top, bimi top, shade thingy that hides you from the sun when driving" one of those things. I have scoured the internet trying to find a back piece for the back of the boat. I have the front canopy, but do not have the back piece. Could someone please assist me on finding this piece. I would deeply appreciate it.
