This doesn't really help, but my 96 Astro (18ft) with a merc 150 on a jack plate was around 62-65 and I'm pretty sure I wasn't wide open. Too fast for me. The fish will always be there.

Is that GPS speed or the gague on the dash that are notoriously wrong. That bost shoud be hitting 60 at those RPM's with no problem

Has it always ran like this, or is this a new problem? Your showing about 27% prop slip, have you checked prop for a slipping hub? Has any setup changed ie: motor height, added transducers etc.. If too high prop could be ventilating too much, disrupted water flow to motor could cause this too (problems in bottom of boat, transducer mounting)

Its always ran like that I did raise the motor about two inches to see if that would help and still nothing my local marine said try a 25p prop and a bigger hub size

Did you buy this used or always owned it? Can you provide part #'s off of prop, does this prop have rubber hub or the newer style hub (plastic sleeve). I don't think that engine would turn a 25 pitch prop in your setup, what baffles me is the shop said run a bigger hub size. Almost sounds like you have a prop to gearcase mismatch. Hopefully the resident experts will chime in soon ie: faztbullet, charlieb etc
