1988 Mercury Classic 50 45HP Carb adjustments

Hi

I've just recently rebuilt the carbs on my engine and I'm unsure of what the carb adjustments should be. I've looked around the web but still a little confused on the procedure. Any ideas? My float height is 1/4 " on both carbs, my concern is the idle and enricher.

im not super informed so don't take this as gospel- but when i did mine on a single carb merc( I think it's the same for most carbs) turn the idle all the way in then back it out a full turn- once running, adjust till you get the right idle. for the other high speed jet(enricher), all the way in and then back out 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 turns- you then need to adjust on the water- while someone is driving- you need to turn it out until it starts to stumble, then go back 1/4 turn- this is at higher revs, maybe even WOT- again- wait for someone else to chime in- good luck
