Re: 1988 Sea Ox 250C Refresh

Jerry has joined the enemy!!

Get eeeeemmmmmmmmmm!!!!!!!:mad-new::mad-new::mad-new:

Thanks! But which enemy are you talking about? Fiberglass owners or outboard owners? :D

That's a heck of a boat for that price and to have it out on the water after what was essentially just a lot of elbow grease is amazing. Heck of a find there!

Thanks ez. It's amazing what a little elbow grease can do. It's a real nice boat. It appeared to be in much worse shape than it was. If the original owners would have just taken the time to clean it and up and if they took better pictures they probably would have sold it much faster and for more money. Oh well :lol: As long as the motors hold up it's a steal at that price.

I actually tried to talk the other guys out of looking at it cause from the advertisement pictures the boat looked real rough! :embarassed:

Glad to see someone else keeping an Ox alive. I picked a 88 250c up last season .
I was asking around the different forums last year with little luck. Looks good I like what you did with the stainless rear compartment cover. Where can I get one ? You have a little more weight hanging off the transom than I do. With a full tank and gear are you scuppers under water ?

So far the boat has been great. I'm probably going to take her out Friday for its first full day test. Might put 50-60 miles on it total. Ugh gonna cost a small fortune in gas!

The stainless cover we made ourselves. I can't take credit for it, another owner is really good at fabricating things!

We put 100 gallons on gas in and with 5 guys and gear the scuppers were fine. Haven't filled the 170 gallon take yet, but I don't think it will be a problem. These boats were available with either 130, 140, or 150hp twins, so it's not overpowered or overweight.

You can see from this pic there pretty far from the water.

Where do you take yours out? What's it powered with? Any pics?

Another video, this time plowing through the Delaware bay 2-3 foot slop.
