Hey all, I decided to make a thread over here to show everyone my restoration progress of my 88 Seebold I bought this summer. I bought it knowing the floor was soft and figured a floor wouldnt be too bad to do. The engine compartment had been rebuilt at some point and everything sounded really really solid so I bought her and enjoyed her for half the summer. It ran great, had a 454 and a Bravo and was a great deal for the size of the boat. After I took her out of the water for the winter I ripped the interior out and pulled up the floor. Well, a floor turned into a floor and cabin stringers, then I pulled the tank out and it turned into a floor, cabin stringers and engine bulkhead. Then i cut the bulkhead out and found rot in the engine stringers. Then I pulled the engine stringers out and found the transom was wet. So yea, if your floor is wet it pretty much means the whole boat is wet/rotted. I really got alot of confidence in doing the build from Friscoboaters Youtube videos haha They have been a great help. I've been following his Glastron build and when he does something I'm doing it the next weekend. Thanks Jay!! Here's some pics of the boat and my progress so far!
