Any thing I should look at here while everything is open?

Yup! just what Arch said. Drill some holes into the stringer, if it comes out as dry wood in all those spots then you're a lucky son of a gun. Likely though, youll have what I had, which was about half of the stringer was rotten.

Ive seen some people do patch jobs on their stringers, aka cut out a few foot section and replace just that, however my brain did not like what that did to the structural integrity. Especially since the stringers are what take the load from the motor and move the boat forward.

So update i finished the spark plugs and oil change. When I was draining the oil it had very little probably like 1 quart or 2 not a good sign. Put new oil vr1 new filter started up after having some issues but starting fluid did the trick. Seems like the impeller stoped working or worn out. Not pumping water out the back so I shut the engine off. I took the impeller cap off put the damn ski pole is right behind it and can’t pull it out. Any ideas or recommendations on how to take it out? Looks very trashed if you ask me. Is the impeller in there to big for it or why is it look all bunched up in one side?

Also looking at this impeller it looks like someone just crammed it in. From my recollection, all the tines should be in 1 direction, the direction it spins, in order to squeeze the water out to the engine.

This kid did it, so I've got faith you can too. Speaking of which... I definitely need to do mine too.

I seen that video video and was like let me take a look at it. Put my impeller is right behind the ski pole probably like 2 inches of space. I got the cover out but can’t take the impeller off. I’ll be redoing the the front of the floor this next days. Everything else seems to be fine. I’ll leave the impeller towards the end and also the carb rebuild. Then I think I should be ready for most part for splash.

Hey Omar, how's it going? You get any work done on this boat lately?

Hey how’s it going Tim, I’m still alive been busy setting up my garden and a few other things that popped up here and there. So it’s basically finished, I finished the sound system today. I found a fly high pole for it with a wake rake on it for cheap but seems to be to small for my pole. I’ll glue the carpet tomorrow and wash the carpet maybe Friday and hopefully take it out this weekend. I’ll get some videos and pics up Tomorrow morning.

Good to hear from you. You must have the 3 inch diameter pylon in your boat and the fly-hi is built for a 2.5 inch diameter pylon. I have the same Fly-hi Skylon with board rack too. And it does fit my pylon. Last Saturday was to be our maiden voyage with it, but the impeller burnt up on the ramp so back on the trailer we went. I'm dealing with the aftermath of that now.

I'll watch for the pics and videos. Thanks!

Following! I am 98% finished with my 1992 Sea Ray restore, bought it cheap too but I had to take it down to the bare hull. Everything was rot! I'm kinda jealous, I been trying to find something similar for my next project.
