1988 Yamaha 8 hp no spark

I have a 1988 Yamaha 8 hp that is getting no spark. The motor has like 30 hours on it, so I doubt anything is worn out. Ive never had any problems with it before. New plugs, new wires, no spark. The electrical system in it consists of very few components, and before I just started replacing things at random, I figured someone else ran into the same thing.

Try to disconnect the white wire from the engines stopswitch.
