I believe my tilt-trim motor is bad. The solenoid seems to kick in but then nothing. Anyone know how to test this? can some one tell me which wires from the motor to hook to a battery to test?.I believe this has 3 wires.

I think they are usually the blue and green wires on the end but the relay shorts these out so you need to disconnect from the relay before trying to bypass.

Thanks guys , I read that but I really do not understand it. I took off the four wires from the tilt motor. Is there a way to hook them up to a battery to see if the motor is bad?

I went outside and the wires are orange, pink, gray, black. No green and blue. It is a four wire motor.
