The only way that my motor will start is if I use the choke of course, spray with choke fluid, and push the throttle all the way down. It cranks for awhile but when its started and I pull back on the throttle and put it in the neutral position, it'll either die or start bogging for a minute then die. It seems like the only way it'll keep running is if I keep the throttle half way. When I put in gear it runs fine. It happens everytime I try to start it even after running the boat all day. Where can I start to check what the problem is?

Carbs may need a good cleaning!
Has the fuel pump ever been rebuilt? If not it may be time!
Try decarbing the engine with Quicksilver Power Tune Engine Cleaner. max!
