I am in need of help.. yesterday I started the demolition of the boat. I first started by taking the engine out, from there i disconnected the sterrling cable from the inside piece of the gimbal housing. IMG_0989.jpg. I am need help with what is my next step when trying to remove rotted wood from the transom. I see that there is two sheets of fiberglass, one outside the boat and one inside the boat. I want to work from the inside out. IMG_1000.jpg

you remove the inside fiberglass panel all the way to good dry wood or to the sides of the hull.
cut and fit the new plywood sections so the new area adds up to 2 - 2 1/4 inches thick including the outer glass panel
resin/glass each panel and clamp till cured, do 1 panel at a time.
expext to use 1- 1- 1/2 gal of resin and about 20 yds of glass cloth.

Just make sure not to cut too deep! You will find much more help in the restoration section. In fact, I will be surprised if the mods don't move it. Good luck with the project.
