1989 180/3.7LX 4 bbrl Mercruisers exhaust to head gasket

I have and exhaust leak on the rear cylinder. I need to change of the gasket. Can I do this by just removing the bolts cleaning off manifold and head installing new gasket and torqueing?
It looks like I can slide it out enough to do it with out draining coolant I just changed it.

You might be able to do it, but suggest drain and remove it. This way you can find out what caused the leak. Need to check flatness of head and exhaust

Thank you. It looks like the gasket just failed. I will remover the exhaust to head bolts if I don't have enough clearance it will drain it and pull hoses if needed. Anyone else had to do this?
