I took my Johnson 70hp J70TLCEM to the local boat mechanic because it would not open up wide open. It would normally run about 38mph. Now I can only get it to about 25mph. The mechanic said it is the powerpack. Ordered a new on replaced, took to river run worse. ordered another one same thing. ordered a 3rd one same thing. In the mean time they took a powerpack off another boat they had and put it on. Run like a brand new boat. 38mph. That was last summer. The last 2 times I took it out it would not get above 25mph. I ordered one and put it on. Went to river Thursday and would not runn above 8/10mph. Floating on the river I put the old powerpack on and it fired up and run great 38mph. We fished for about 4 hours not using the motor. It was off. When I started it to head in it fired right up but would not get above 25mph. What is the problem here. Im ready to blow it up. Very frustrated.Can someone please put me in the right dirrection. I am at witts end.
