motor is a pain to start everytime i want to use it, once i get it started i can turn it off and start it up for the rest of the day as many times as i want. the problem is that i can take it out on the water it runs good gets up to speed nice, after 10 mins or so when the motor gets warm it runs rough sometimes dies when going from idle to full throttle and if it dosen't die it bogs really bad up untill it gets to full speed whech isnt very fast and continues to bogg. any sugestions. took it in to have carbs cleaned, new plugs, new fuel filter. im new to boat motors i can work on cars but boats im new at please anything to get me pointed in the right direction?

also i just checked fuel pump and that checks out. good spark. could this be some sort of ignition problem even though it still runs please any help is appreciated.

Yes, could be a coil is starting to fail, showing symptoms as the coil heats up from use.

The water pump is pumping water? No signs of overheating?

yes the water pump is pumping water but i am not sure how good it is pumpingit seams to have water and exhaust coming out the same hole its not a stream of water like my gramps merc but i was assuming its doing as good as it should and its not a stream of water because of the exhaust also coming out...any who...one more bit of info from when i took it in to have it checked and the guy cleaned the carbs he said compression was all good but he said # 2 cylinder wasn't "droping" like it should i don't exactly know what he meant by that? don't know if that helps any at all

also plugs seam to be wet after attempting to start just a tiny bit though not coverd in gas /oil mix just a lil on the edges....also how important is it that i use the correct plug as i cant find any 2522 plugs i have something similar but not correct according to book

You should be using Champion UL18V plugs.

Or:
Autolite 2892
Denso 6001
NGK 2522 BUHX

Plugs can make a big difference, as they can effect the rest of the ignition system by causing too much or too little resistance in the system.

alright i got ahold of the ngk brand plugs put um in and took the boat out only problem is we have a no wake zone on every lake and river around due to flooding here in mn but i still took it out and gunned it real quick and brought it back down but best i could tell it still hesitated on accelleration? any more suggestions on what to do next?
