I have a 90 etlf Yamaha outboard which is a 1989 90 horse I bought a pontoon the motor came with it the oil tank all the lines everything has been taken off and the nipples have been plugged what I'm wondering is should I leave the oil pump on there even though it's disabled or take it off and try to find a plate cover for it I'm having a problem finding a plate without having on made I'm just wondering if it would hurt the motor to leave the oil pump disabled but attached to the motor I don't know anything about this motor I haven't ran it when I bought it it needed a lot of work but has 120 lb compression on all three cylinders so it has potential thank you
