1989 bayliner capri in floor storage drain?

When i washed my boat out prepping for the new floor the infloor storage filled with water and did not drain..I tried to use a hose and clear out debris but water just gushed out over the fuel tank in the bilge??? I tried a plumbing snake but no luck.. How can I get this to drain? Any thoughts OH yea its a 1989 17ft bayliner capri with a 85hp force outboard...

Drain holes are plugged. You'll probably have to pull the tank. You'll be surprised at what you find.

Might need to drill some bigger drainage holes. Some pictures of what you are dealing with would help us out.

U might get away by poking a few times this time,,,
best tp pull the tank, if not it will get clogged again soon or later.

When your stringers rot due to the backed up water, that will be 'more' than too much work.

I asked for another solution.. not a smart *** response... Its my second response and already I have people giving attitude and not solutions. If you dont have a solution DONT RESPOND. The point of a forum is to trade solutions to an issue. Being a smart *** is not a solution. In fact its no help at all.. So why sat it? I cant be the first person in the world with this problem. I really dont feel like tearing apart my entire boat to unclog a drain. There has to be another solution.. So if you can help me please respond.

You really need to post some photos. Your original post said you were prepping for a new floor (deck?); which should make removing the tank fairly easy. The responses you get are limited by the information you provide and a picture is the best way to let people know what you are dealing with.

Suck it up with a straw would have been a smart *** remark. Now you're probably going to have corrosion pits in your tank, requiring you to remove it anyway.
