1) Performance issue you are trying to correct.
5000-5100 RPM wide open on 5.0lx. Too much.

2) Current prop manufacturer, model, aluminum or stainless and as a minimum.
Stainless Steel

3) Current prop diameter and pitch (required).
14 X 19 3 blade

4) Wide open throttle RPM and speed with an average load (very helpful)
5000-5100 speed 54-59 MPH with 240lb and brother 220.

5) Engine/drive make, model, year, and HP
1989 Mercruiser 5.0LX Alpha 1. I think 200 HP

6) Boat make model, year, length and weight
1989 Chaparral 190sx 19 feet long 3000lbs

Im sorry if the information is not super accurate Im still learning but Im not trying to post questions without somewhat adequate information.

From what I understand I am supposed to be RPM 42-4800 range. I pulled my brother tubing the other day 220lbs and me 240 and his 2 buddies 200 and 250lbs, it felt like a 4x10 piece of plywood being drug underwater. Looking for a prop to lower RPMS and better out of the whole. The speed is only 35 MPH on the lake, so top end is not an issue. Although if I wanted to go fast every once in a while Im not against changing props. I dont think the boat under performs, thats a lot of weight in that boat, were not skinny people. Again I apologize if the information isnt adequate. Thanks

Sluggish hole shot and over reving really don't go together. It does seem to me that
that the 19 is a step or 2 down from the max. pitch for speed.
and I think it would normally help hole shot and it may over rev.
Is the prop in excellent shape?Bottom clean and smooth?
Your speed may be a little optimistic; gps would tell us more.
I have a feeling one or more indications are wrong. You might varify the tach is accurate. Does it trim in all the way?Is hole shot sluggish with one aboard?
If the skier digs the heel in too much it will make getting up much harder.
A little more weight on the lead foot may help.
