1989 donzi ragazza omc engine id numbers please help

hi all,
I need to know what engine id number I have for ordering parts. I don't see any plates or markings any where. I do have a number stamped on the cylinder head can that tell me? the reason I need to know is when I go to local shop to order parts they always ask me what modle the engine is and I don't know. I just know the year and that' its a chevy.
any help would be great

Try posting some pictures of the motor.

I want to replace the impeller with a Volvo one the dealer says he needs to know what motor I have. because there are many different modles he said. I have done very well at replaceing almost everything on this motor by shopoing for 1989 sbc. I just thought it would be nice to have the model number so I don't have to do the song and dance everytime. I had bad luck with the sierra impeller

From the casting numbers on the port side of the engine block towards the rear, you could tell if it's a 305 or a 350. But don't know if this is what you want or not.

Ayuh,.... I thought the OMC impeller pump is in the outdrive,..??

I know Volvo uses a motor mounted raw water pump,...

So parts for the Volvo won't fit the OMC anyways,...

Ayuh,.... Where is the raw water pump,..??

If it's in the Drive, Volvo's got NOTHIN' to do with it,....

really? the dealer lied lol thank you for this info. what is the best impeller kit. I bought one on ebay thought it was sierra and the cage spun inside the plastic housing and I am lucky I didn't blow the motor from no water getting through

You still haven't told Us what impeller pump ya got, nor where it is,.....

Got any pictures of whatever yer workin' on,..??

I don't see a belt driven pump in yer motor picture, 'n I'm just Guessin' ya got the Cobra drive,...

yes I have the cobra out drive drive sorry. is there another company other then sierra or did I get a fluke part you think?

so sierra is the only company ? I will defiantly buy from here. I use ebay as a search engine

You need an 18-3348 if you're replacing the hole pump, or 18-3212-1 if you just need a repair kit.
I've had very good luck with Sierra parts and their warranty is better than OEM.
