1989 evinrude 25 hp

I have a 1989 25 HP evinrude I have had a lot of trouble with. Rebuilt carbon new fuel pump new primer new fuel lines.took it to the water startedgreat idle fine gave it throttle raved great idled out gave it full throttle died fired right up full throttle again died now I'm asking any one what they think it could be power pack etc. Thank you

The high speed jet in the carb must be real clean. It is behind the fuel fitting on the carb bowl. A bread tie with the plastic removed is a good way to clean out that jet without having to remove the carb.

There could be something else going on, but this is a easy, free quick check.

No need to go after the power pack. The ignition system is fine.
You have fuel delivery problems as described by Cofe.

Will the engine run at high speed if you pump the fuel primer bulb?
You may also be idling a little lean and are starving for fuel at throttle up.

What is the history of the boat with you? Did it ever run for you?

I no it will not even pumping the ball. When I first got it ran ok then it fell apart it would run good for a mile or so then die not stop running .felt the head it was very warm change thermostat still did it now won't even get out of the hole thank u for Ur reply
