1989 Force 125 CDI unit

First time up so hello to all. My 89 Force 125 has a blown CDI unit. The motor has 2 units light blue in color.I found what may well be the last one in NZ 2nd hand and it lasted about 10 hours and has also packed up.Are they still made or is there some viable alternative? Tried installing a merc one but they are not compatible.Where to next?

Thanks Waanabe. Where did these people put the seriel # id plate on this model. Was there only the one CDI type used in 89 ?

Not sure if there is only one type.<br /><br />My ID plate on my 89 force 85 HP is on the outside of the engine on the engine leg between the powerhead, and the lower unit.

NZ I have a used black one with my blue setup. Almost a full season now. You can go back 5 years approx. and find the same CD. (except for colour) 1988 125 hp. My experienced wrench put it on so I didn't question it.
