Now THAT is the right attitude (getting it 100% before running it)!!!
Get the shop manual for it. I have the clymer, pulblished By Intertec Publishing ,number B751-3.

The props are too numerous, and you can find a complete cross refence at any good marine shop,or online. Props are a science in themseves, and I'm sure you've heard the term,"test prop"...The best way to get the performance you want is from testing different props from a marina.

Plugs are Champion # UL18V.
Yes, it has a t-stat. It is located on the top of the head, under a screw plate. One caution..Do not run the engine other than 20minute testing without the t-stat. Unequal heating on the head can warp it,and do all kindsa nasty stuff, so make sure you replace it with a new one (only abt 5 buks).
If I can help ya in any way, feel free to
E-mail me. One more quick piece of advice, use >90 octane gas,and the highest grade
TC-W3 oil at all times. These engines
self-destruct on cheaper brands.

------------------
I'm no expert, but I DID sleep at a Holiday Inn last night!

Forgot something important!
these lower units are notorious for developing leaks at the lower unit drive shaft upper seal. Check your lower unit for milky-lookin lube often, and buy new fill-bolt gaskets each time. It's not too dificult to repair, but if you run it long with water in there, well...Ungood.

------------------
I'm no expert, but I DID sleep at a Holiday Inn last night!
