I Need Help In Finding Out If There Is A Conversion Engine and I/O Unit For A 1989 Bayliner 17' Capri Bowrider, To Change Out The Force Unit?

I Live 25 Miles From Bayliner Plant And For Information Only, Bayliner Has Furlough 400 + Employees.

Olympic Boat Center In The State Of Wa Has Gone Bankrupt.

Here I Am In The Middle Of Boat Country, Puget Sound and Can't Find Someone That Can Tell me If I Can Make A Engine Conversion?

In Addition Did Bayliner Use The L Force Engine Only In My Model Of Boat? Sleepless In Seattle.

... yup only made those models for a couple years. sux about the continued layoffs in the boating industry. there was a fellow here about a year back who was filling in his L drive transom with a new one to hang on O/B off the back. i'll see if i cant dig it up.

The L drive does not lend itself well to any conversion though it has been done.

Do you by chance know anything about the conversions? Does the boat have to be modified?

Heavily modified.
Transom needs reshaping and rebuilding to support an outboard.
Pretty much need to open it up and rebuild from the strings up, then design something that looks like a boat to cover it all up.
