Would I be able to pull the engine without having to take the drive off or is it necessary to take the drive off?

First boat bought for $3200 and the "new" rebuilt engine with 26 hours on it spun rod bearings. Maybe next year I'll get some enjoyment out of it :)

Well....technically you could slide the engine far enough forward to leave the drive in place. If you have the room.

Of course you have to take the drive off to put the engine back in so might as well pull it now.
