1989 Johnson 60 hp VRO alarm?

Just bought a 1989 Johnson 60 hp. The VRO was disconnected but the alarm wasn't. Can anyone tell me how to disconnect it? Thanks, Chuck.

Just unplug the VRO's 3-lead connector.
