I just purchased a boat that has a 1989 Johnson 60 hp VRO outboard. I have a question about the Johnson control unit for the motor. As with most control units it has the lever you lift for starting and idle speed..directly below it is the key/push to choke and below that is a small black knob that rotates cw/ccw with a click. What is the function of this knob?
