1989 Johnson 90 HP

I have the motor running, the fuel solenoid still needs constant attention, but I noticed oil coming from the prop exhaust.
It also is on the side exhaust. Is this lower unit oil leaking, its not green, or just un-burnt 2 stroke oil from the motor? Compression is 140 psi in all 4 cylinders. What could this oil be coming from ?
I see why some folks spend lots of money for new boats.

The technical term I believe is "spooge"...nothing to worry about. It will clear up after running awhile.

You should run that motor in a big tub.

if your just messing with a new to you motor do two things for certain:

1. Run on 50:1 premix until you can do the VRO tests.

2. Replace h2o pump impeller
