1989 Johnson GT 150 to 1996 johnson 130 swap

Hi all,
Ok heres my ?
My Cajun has a 150 GT 1989 model and I,ve been having probs with it
So just wanted to ask you here If I can put my 1995 johnson 130 V\4
on it and all the controls and wireing will just plug up .Or do I have to use
the control box off the boat the 130 is comming off of. I know the 95 130 is as big looking as the 150 with big lower unit like the V\6.
I plan on swaping the motor asap so any help would be wonderful.

if it is a 95, it shoud be plug and play. 96 maybe they changed the wiring harnesses during that time. if both motors have the big red harness plug. it is plug and play.

Ok thanks it's a 1996 130 so i'll look and see if it's in fact a red plug,the 89 150GT is i'm sure.
