1989 Mariner wire harness extension

Hey everyone,
I was wondering if someone had a line on a wire harness extension for a 1989 Mariner 100hp motor. I think I can manually extend it but I would prefer something premade. The harness that came with this new to me outboard may be a little short. =-(

Outboard harnesses are sold by length. So there is one out there for you

A simple search on Mercury boat harness extension turned up 11.8M hits. There is a 6 1/2 foot extension for $25

Yeah, been going down that route but I haven’t found a compatible cable yet.

What kind of cable do you have? Those round plugs were pretty universal in Mercs after they phased out the external quick disconnect plug.

Looks like the available harnesses in your year were 12 wire, 10 wire, 9 wire and 7 wire. Each has a part number you should be able to use in your search. Which do you have?
