1989 omc 5.7 misfire above 2500rpm

Tried condenser, no change. Was a good suggestion though . Going to deal with distributor play, next

Guys! I got a used distributor with no play... misfire is GONE GONE! Dwell stays at 28. Can’t believe how difficult this was to find. So happy! Thanks everyone for your input. Again old distributor had .010 of play on the shaft, not sloppy but was there. With other distributor, no play, no misfire thanks!!!

now you can rebuild the old distributor (its an oil-lite bronze bushing) and sell it as re-furbished and recoup your money.
