1989 rinker can i mount a trolling motor

i have a 1989 rinker 17'7" open bow, my brother is going to give me a minn kota maxxum 55lb thrust 52" shaft,any help on if this can be put on my boat,if anyone has a trolling motor with pics on the type of boat like mine would be great,

There is a thread on iBoats that deals with a complete restoration of a boat. The OP had a trolling motor plate made and has a couple of nice pics with it. I think his handle was Bear69Cuda (or something like that. Do a search and go thru his refit. You will see the plate his friend/family member made for him. Pretty simple and looks like it would as least give you some direction.

fabricated bracket ,find a welding/fab shop that does stainless
