Re: 1989 Specrtrum 1700 project.

Im gonna get rollin on the Starcraft most likely Friday or Saturday.
Im going to try to have it ready for a three day jaunt to Port Clinton here the weekend of the 15th.
Its gonna need the brakes services and bled.
I still gotta put the hull numbers on it along with the stickers.
Then the trailer needs inspected.
I hope to pull that off beginning next week.
Then run the motor on the ears and get all the winterizing crap out of it.
Im pretty stoked. I feel real good about the sale too.
The guy will be super happy with the boat

Re: 1989 Specrtrum 1700 project.

As the buyer of the new boat let me start by saying the pictures do not do justice to the work that tim put into the boat. Its not perfect but it is very nice job. Im glad to have come across this forum or i would have just walked past the craigslist add. Im excited to try her out and fix things i think would be better for me. (exterior paint) all in all tim is a great guy and did a very nice job on the boat. Itll make a great first fishing boat for me. Few years and ill be upgrading to sumthing little newer and bigger though. Figured id start with a used boat first . Tim was nice enough to offer to take me on a fishing trip to try my luck at muskie fishing and use his gear and tackle, again thank you tim, at the same time learn how to control everything and properly function all the control and motor.

That free musky fishing advice is probably worth more than the boat:D

Tim seems to have some boat resto skills and musky tricks, based on the monsters in the photos.

Good luck with the rig tustin77, welcome to iboats:)
