1989 Starfire 305ci Mercury

A friend of mine just bought a used 1989 Starfire skiboat and I am trying to find out any info I can on this particular boat. It's got a 305 ci Mercury inboard but other than that I'm not sure. It has seating for 8 and a canopy cover. No cabin. If anyone knows where I can find a manual online, I would really appreciate it.

Congrats to your friend...that is one rock solid hoss of a boat. A friend of mine has one and I love it. As far as manuals are concerned, IMO there is not much reason to worry about one for the boat...I would not bet the farm on it but I think Starfire is out of business.<br /><br />Mercruiser stern drive manuals are easy to come by...probably sell them here. Same for the 305 Chevy engine...no secrets there. Just be sure and use marine grade parts for the fuel and ignition systems...no automotive starters, alternators, carbs, etc.

Thanks Relentless. I was actually looking for info out of curiousity. I searched all over the internet and found that they are out of business. My friend just wanted to know what he bought. I'll keep looking but thanks alot.
