Hello guys,

I got a quick question that I think isn't nothing major but maybe I am being paranoid. Anyway, I ran my motor for the first time yesterday since October 2005 on the water muffs for about 5 minutes. Today I noticed that there is a thick black oily substance that smells like fuel oil mixture not lower leg unit oil when I wiped it with my finger to smell it comming from the prop. I am thinking this is the leftover fuel/oil mixture that ran from the prop am I right or am I wrong nad just verifing

You are correct, nothing unusual at all.

ezeke,

Thank you. I didn't think it was nothing to worry about. It smelt like unburned fuel/oil mixture.

Bubba,
How is that ole 88 running for you? I have the same motor on my Whaler, and I really love the motor. You have Tilt and Trim on yours?

TD MAKER,

It is a really good running motor and I have tilt/trim also. I just wish I could get out more with my boat but work and family keep me busy these days. Hopefully I can get some outside tiem with her this spring summer can't wait.
