First off I just want to say thank you to Bond-O and others for encouraging me NOT to keep my old boat around, see thread:http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=239222

I found quite a few problems, strangely none of them related to the engine. lol

So instead,I bought an '89 Wellcraft 190 classic from my brother-in-law's father. The boats in great shape inside and out. It's powered by a 3.0L Mercruiser which runs extremely well and smooth. I have had it out 3 times now just getting used to it and so far I am ecstatic with my purchase. Best part is I got it for REALLY cheap!

What I am wondering if anyone has any recommendations for brightening up the hull finish. I am really only concerned with above the water line. My brother-in-laws father was using some kind of wax on the area below the water line because he kept it in the lake year round, but I am not sure what it was. Anyway, thanks in advance.

Also if anyone needs a 470 Mercruiser, gimble assembly and pre-alpha "R" outdrive let me know I have it sitting in my garage.
PS that's not me in the boat ;)
