Just bought a 1989 wellcraft 216 eclipse 21 foot cuddy, powered by a 5.7L Mercruiser/Alpha one. I took her home for 4200 bucks. Minty shape, except for the drive unit not holding a full 7 pounds of air pressure when tested. The gauge would vome up to about 8 psi, then drop slowly to about 4.5-5 psi, then hold. Should I reseal the unit now, or can it wait til the end of the season? How much of a job is it???
