Recently bought a 15 merc 2 stroke 1990,changed the water pump soon as I got it,just tested it today the stream at idle seems weak.Is this normal ,does it increase with the speed,Also water was sort of shooting out where the shift rod goes up through the mid housing(short shaft).Also the water was kinda warm.I removed the lower unit to make sure I didn't screw anything up,Everything seems ok.Does the water pump also pump water into the exhaust?I took of the hose for the stream and blew in it with my finger blocking the tube from the water pump and I heard air escaping somewhere else.Is this normal.
