1990 2 bbl Mercarb choke

My 2 bbl mercarb choke is not opening all the way when underway at full throttle. Is there a diagram that shows how the linkages are supposed to be? I am under the impression the throttle linkage is supposed to force the choke open no matter the engine temp when wide open. Is this right? I am looking for a "linkage map" of how this looks at WOT.

your choke is either electric or thermal operated.throttle linkage has nothing to do with opening or closing.

The throttle linkage only opens the choke a small amount, and the vacuum break opens it a little further. If it's staying closed, either the choke coil isn't working or it's adjusted way too tight.
What engine is this on?
