i have a 1990 200hp johnson j200txes looper. just bought it, runs great. however i just did a compression check . 4 cylinders=90lbs.... 1=95lbs....1=86lbs. doesn't this seem pretty low?i turned engine over 10 rounds for each cylinder. engine had not been cranked for 2 months. someone said not to worry...that was a low compression engine...but very dependable. any comments out there on this model would be most appreciated. thanks in advance. dwight ;)

Sounds pretty good. Might not hurt to decarb.

Compression numbers have a lot to do with head configuration, port timing and port area. Dont worry too much about the number, just that they are no more than 15 lbs from hi to low.

Good luck!
