I need help. I recently purchased a 22' Mariner CC and upon removal of the Floor which was completely gone due to exposed conditions for 4 years i opened up the hull and what a surprise. I pulled up the floor board and the gas lines are like jello about 7" from the tank every one, then i try to remove the tank which is embeded in a bed of foam. The tank was finally removed and huge holes in the tank which now transfered to the hull thus also creating 1/2" holes in the boat hull itself.. I'm so confused...What caused this? Some people are telling me stabil if sat in for a long time will eat hoses but did the hull and the alum tank react with one another. Who in the hell would lay a piece of plywood in the bilge and lay the belly tank on that...I'm too the point now of What do I do? Trash the hull due to 3- 1/2 holes or can this be welded. What do i do with the corrosion to clean it up. Any help would help...
