1990 3hp gamefisher,,removing clutch help

anyone got any tips for removing clutch assembly on this...looks like i have to take engine head off. and screws are in there good???....thanks for any help....:confused:

Hey dunaprop. I have one of these little guys. I haven't done any clutch work, but here's the owner's manual for it so maybe it will help. Gamefisher also goes by the name Tanaka so don't let that throw you off. I just got mine up and running again after a few years, but now it works great.

Remove those 4 phillips head screws that hold the outer clutch drum on the motor, remove exhaust pipe clamp screws so unit will drop down, really just 6 screws, and they are stainless steel, but most likely stuck a bit, especially if you've been in salt water. After you drop this down, the clutch is right there for service or repair. Good Luck!
