Just bought a 1990 50 hp mercury, the motor starts very easily, I hooked it up to water hose with rabbit ears no water out of tattle tale when in idle but as soon as I put it gear get a steady stream, I have not kept it started for very long and have not had it in the water yet. Should there be a stream of water when the boat is in idle or does the moter have to warm up.
