1990 85 Yamaha lower unit Houdini

Just bought a 1990 c85 Yamaha for a 20" transom that has an MIA lower unit. Trying to find what years and models will make mine giddy up. Thank you for looking.

look up the Yamaha part # for you lower and then see if anything else uses the same part #

The internals share lots of the same parts as the 70 and 90. On the rebuild websites they state they will fit the 85 but part numbers are different.

The lower units for sale on eBay say 70-90

The 85 was basically a 90 without Oil Injection. Much like the C 115, was the basic V4 engine.
